Random Post

I am in awe of how quickly our little baby has grown! She has her nine month check-up next week. I plan to post some of my favorite pictures from the past nine months. Tyler really does have a good mix of both my personality and my husband's. It is pretty funny to watch. Her latest is throwing fits when she doesn't get what she is hell bent on having. I try very hard to talk to her in a calm voice but I usually lose it in a fit of giggles. She works herself up so quickly and then as fast as she brings it on, she also turns it off. I'll admit, that is probably more from me than my husband. Those of you who know Ty...well, he is very laid back and very chill. It takes A LOT to upset or anger him. As of right now, Tyler is very easily frustrated and not very easily re-directed. We try to distract her when she wants to play in the dog water or rip pages out of a book...not an easy task in this house!

Tyler has recently decided that nap time is play time. I'll hear her in her crib, talking and playing, for at least an hour before she decides it is ok to take a nap. Then she usually won't sleep for more than about 40 minutes. Not a big deal at the time. However, later in the day, she can be a little disaster waiting to explode. Her afternoon naps have been better than her morning ones. Today, when I went to peek in on her, she was standing up in the crib. She had her binky in her mouth and was kinda bouncing up and down. I was pretty sure she had slept two hours but maybe not. The minute she saw me, she grinned her giant "OHMYGOSH, it's mommy" grin and out came the binky. She also has this silly little habit of trying to burrow into the crib, face first, when she sees one of us. I try so hard to soak in every moment of her and her antics because I know that every single day brings something totally new and I don't want to miss anything!
