Back in Oregon

We have now been home for two full days and although I miss the sun and my family, I am happy to be back in Oregon. We had such a wonderful time with my mom, my aunt and my uncle. Tyler is a very social baby and loves to interact with people. On the flight from Chicago to Portland, she really wanted the attention of the man sitting one seat over from us. He was busy working on his laptop and hardly noticed her. Bless her little heart, she tried so hard to "stare him down" in the hopes that he would give her some attention. She did really well on both flights and we even got the "What a great little baby" comments when we arrived in Portland. Ty and I have already talked and we plan on making the trip to Florida an annual family event.

I have to admit, I learned a lot from my daughter while on this trip. I've learned that she is a great little traveler and that she loves to watch/study people. I've learned that she thrives on a schedule and if I stray from it, she corrects me almost immediately. I've learned that she has figured out a cup and a spoon and their respective purposes. I've learned that sleep training is vital to a happy baby; my happy happy baby. I've learned that being a mom is so much more rewarding than I could have ever hoped and I can't believe I am saying this, but I am ready to do it again!

I am glad you made it back home safe and sound. It sounds like you are learning a lot from motherhood. It is amazing how much a small child can teach you.
