Side Effects

We are now experiencing some of the nasty side effects of antibiotics.  Tyler has had horrible diarrhea since Saturday.  She's also got a painful rash all over her entire diaper area. While changing another diaper, I tried to gently clean up the area without hurting her and failed miserably.  Tyler bawled, screamed and shook the entire time.  It happened all over again after her bath.  We did speak to the advice nurse, which was helpful .  Shan also had some suggestions as to how we could help ease Tyler's pain.  For the next few days, Tyler will be eating lots of bananas and rice cereal along with drinking lots of Pedialyte.  We also got a prescription diaper cream to help clear things up.  I think everyone in this house will be happy when the antibiotics are all gone!
